Joe Panetta, PMP

Joe Panetta is an accomplished and experienced professional with a successful career spanning over three decades in the biotech industry. He has held various leadership and executive roles in several companies, primarily involved in the life sciences and healthcare sector. Joe currently serves as the President and CEO of Biocom, a leading trade association that represents California's life sciences industry.

In his role at Biocom, Joe is responsible for driving growth and development of California's life sciences industry. He oversees the organization's advocacy, membership, strategic alliances, and events, ensuring that the organization remains a reliable and effective voice for the industry. Prior to joining Biocom, Joe worked at Ligand Pharmaceuticals, where he held several executive positions, including Executive VP and Chief Operating Officer.

Joe has also served on several industry advisory and non-profit boards. He holds a B.S. in Biology from St. Joseph's College and an M.B.A. from National University. Joe is a driven and visionary leader with a passion for the life sciences industry and its potential for creating positive societal impact.
