Joe Koufman is an experienced marketing, business development, and management professional who has over 20 years of industry experience. He is the CEO and Founder of Setup™, a platform that creates meaningful connections between marketers and specialized agencies. Joe has a dual BA degree in Politics and Speech Communications from Wake Forest University, where he studied from 1990-1994. He is also an active member of the marketing community, serving as the Board Chair - Special Events at AMA Atlanta (American Marketing Association, Atlanta Chapter) and Terry School of Business, Marketing Executive Board at the University of Georgia, among others.
Before establishing Setup™, Joe spent six years at Engauge, an independent marketing agency that was acquired by Publicis Groupe and merged with Moxie USA. As Senior Vice President of Business Development and Marketing, he worked with high-profile clients like Cisco Systems, Newell Rubbermaid, AMC Theatres, Hanesbrands, Hershey's, Food Lion, Supercuts, Turner Broadcasting, and Chick-fil-A. Prior to Engauge/Moxie/Publicis, Joe spent eight years leading strategic accounts for KnowledgeStorm, where he worked with companies such as Oracle, Computer Associates, Microsoft Dynamics, and Cognos.
Joe's unique perspective, having worked at a small digital firm, an independent full-service marketing agency, and a massive holding company, was instrumental in the creation of Setup™. Through his platform, he seeks to empower marketers to find agencies that are the most proficient in their respective disciplines. Joe is also an active participant in several startups and non-profits, including ChooseATL campaign and VAYANDO. He resides in Atlanta with his wife and twin daughter and son.
