UI/UX engineering lead, platform owner, and acting project manager for Nike’s internal facing enterprise design system:

- Lead a team of 5 engineers and a designer in building a design system from the ground up, including a Figma UI Kit, code library with 40+ components, and custom-built and designed documentation and resource website
- Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers across the globe to drive adoption, provide support, and steward contributions to the design system.  In the first two years, we had more than 100 applications adopt our system and received more than 250 contributions
- Work cross-functionally (management, users, and the team)  to identify features, drive design evolution, and prioritize the team’s work. Responsible and accountable for defining and maintaining the design system roadmap
- As acting project manager, define and lead team processes/ceremonies based on Agile/Scrum industry standards

Reporting to the Director of Delivery Nam Ho, I provided a wide range of client services as a project lead, software engineer, and design system consultant. I worked with clients ranging from small start-ups to Fortune 100 companies to large government institutions. In addition to being a subject matter expert on design systems and their implementation, I had the pleasure of building applications, mentoring and leading teams, and improving tools and processes. Some of the work I did included:

- Consulted and assisted Puppet in completely rebuilding their webstack as a React and design system expert, including the creation of a React component library, integration of the library into various systems, and creation of automated documentation
- Consulted and assisted the City of Portland in their effort to refactor and organize a scalable and extendable user interface for the new City of Portland website, including setting up tooling, coaching on modular/component-driven UI, auditing their existing system and designs, and laying the foundation for an effective design system
- Technical lead for Foodie (a peer-to-peer food-sharing marketplace) including account management, project management, architecture, implementation, hosting, and analytics
- Created an implementation roadmap for comprehensive test coverage for Pega System’s Bolt Design System
- Work with Memorial Sloan Kettering to build a new, React-based design system including component definition, development, tooling, architecture, and process improvements
- Work with the marketing team to design, implement, and maintain the Basalt.io website
- Worked on PEGA's Bolt Design System (component development, testing and validation, development tooling and performance, documentation, integration with a CMS)
- Worked with AAAS (Science magazine) to develop a stand-alone search interface for use within their existing design system

Reporting directly to the CEO and Founder Dan Linn I created web-apps and websites using a range of modern technology, worked in the Agile development process, and delivered high quality products and technological solutions to clients. As a developer, I worked on all aspects of the tech stack (html, css, templating, CMS, databases, deployment, devOps) on projects ranging from single page static websites to online market places to custom middleware. As Tech Lead for the Tyson Steele account I manage client communications, provide leadership and technical assistance to junior developers, maintain development and deployment tools, track account metrics and identify process improvements.

* Delivered more than 60 websites with an acute attention to fully responsive design.
* Built devOps tools, server provisioning scripts, and a templating pattern library to streamline, standardize, and expedite the creation of static websites.
* Updated and added features to an internal accounting and customer relationship tracking system, integrated with the Google API
* Provisioned servers and setup dev environments to facilitate client testing
* Worked with a team to build a comprehensive e-commerce platform for both buying and selling housing blueprints
* Worked with custom built middleware to add a modern content management system (CMS) to legacy sites.

I also assisted with a backend server (Express and RxJS) that collected and collated real estate data.
