Joe Hanley

Joe Hanley is a highly experienced communications and social media professional with a strong background in international B2B technology, healthcare, and corporate sectors.

Throughout his career, Joe has proven expertise in corporate communications, strategic messaging, media and analyst relations, issues management, content creation, internal and executive communications, as well as social media and digital marketing.

He holds a diverse educational background, including studies in Development Studies, Economics & Politics at the University of East Anglia, a Diploma in Public Relations from Dublin Institute of Technology, and a PGCE in Maths, English, and PE also from the University of East Anglia.

Joe has held various key positions in renowned organizations, such as Communications at Nokia Cloud & Network Services, Communications Consultant at Westcon-Comstor, Associate Lecturer at Oxford Brookes University, Vice President in Communications & Corporate Marketing at Medtronic, and Vice President in Communications and Brand Experience at IBM Europe.

His previous roles at IBM include External Relations Director for Europe, Media Relations Director for EMEA, Media Relations Manager for the UK, Mobile, Media & Entertainment Communications Manager, and Tivoli Communications Manager.

Before his time at IBM, Joe founded Hanley Public Relations and worked as an Account Director at Brodeur Partners and a Senior Account Manager at Companycare.

Prior to his corporate positions, Joe gained experience in the education sector as a Maths Co-ordinator and class teacher at the British International School Riyadh and as a Primary School Teacher responsible for Maths and IT at Ealing Primary Schools.
