Joe Giaimo is a goal-driven self-starter with a passion for building business and personal relationships. He is a recent MBA graduate with communication skills catered towards driving business success. With ten years of experience under his belt, he has worked with alumni, families, friends, and businesses at Rutgers University to engage in charitable conversations to fulfill Division-1 Big Ten Athletics Program fundraising goals. He has been responsible for enhancing scholarships, facilities, endowments, and operating fund metrics while creating a peak academic and athletic experience for student-athletes.

His skills include fundraising strategy, project management, sales/pipeline management, building & nurturing relationships, team building, donor account servicing, strategic account management, and business development.
Joe is a true-blue New Jerseyan who grew up in Watchung Hills Regional HS. He graduated from Wesleyan University (CT) with a B.A. in Economics and was also the two-sport captain in football and baseball. He later pursued Master of Arts in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Social Sciences and completed his MBA at Rutgers Business School with a 3.46 GPA. Prior to joining Rutgers University Foundation as Director of Development, Joe has worked as an assistant football coach at Wesleyan University, an Associate and Executive Director at Lafayette College, and an Assistant Director at Wesleyan University.
Apart from work, Joe has indulged in mentoring and networking with young professionals, college admissions, and recruiting assistance. He is an avid supporter and donor to various charities, has personal interests in investing (Robinhood), CNBC, ESPN, all things sports, and a wide variety of music. His favorite places include Italy, New Jersey Shore, Hawaii, among others, and his favorite books include Steve Jobs, Sacred Hoops, Hit Refresh, and others.
