Joe Eastman, P.E.

Joe Eastman, P.E., a civil and environmental engineering graduate from Michigan Technological University, has gained extensive experience working in various aspects of engineering over the years. From his early days as a lab assistant at the Lansing Board of Water & Light to his current position as the project manager of the City of Lansing's lead replacement program, Joe has demonstrated his ability to design and manage projects with precision.

As a lead service replacement program manager for the Lansing Board of Water and Light, Joe coordinated both utility and contractor crews, created smallworld queries for tracking purposes, and communicated with customers regarding questions and scheduling. He also drew on his knowledge of programming languages such as C++, Visual Basic, and ActionScript 3.0 to develop custom scripts to automate tasks, prepare service territory maps for lead replacement, and present information from the customer information system in a more user-friendly manner. Joe's experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS/Smallworld, and Microsoft Office further complemented his project management expertise.

Joe's professional background also includes experience as a Water Distribution Engineer at Lansing Board of Water & Light, a Gas Safety Engineer at Michigan Public Service Commission, and a Staff Engineer at Eng., Inc. (Formerly Fitzgerald Henne & Associates, Inc.). He also worked as a Water/Wastewater Services Engineering Specialist at the Holland Board of Public Works and as an Engineering Intern at the Ann Arbor Water Treatment Facility, where he gained invaluable insights and experience in water distribution permits, watermain installation projects, and Titrations.

Joe's extensive knowledge of Photoshop has also been instrumental in his work designing flyers, banners, website graphics, and board games. He is the Founder of ARUtility, and his passion for the environment and engineering continue to guide future innovations.
