Joe Brown is a multifaceted individual who graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Architecture in 2007, followed by a Master of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) in 2013. He is originally from New York City and has successfully merged his interests in engineering and dance throughout his career.
During his time at MIT, Joe was actively involved in the dance community, participating as a fraternity stepper with Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and competing with local hip hop dance crews such as MIT’s Ridonkulous and Mocha Moves. His passion for dance has led him to become a professional commercial dancer, choreographer, and creative director. He is notably the founder and choreographer of Stroll Groove, a dance crew that gained recognition on NBC’s World of Dance.
Joe's work in the entertainment industry includes choreographing performances for major artists, such as co-choreographing for Beyoncé's iconic Coachella performance. He teaches a dance class called Step/Stroll, which explores stepping techniques and their cultural significance, and he is represented by MSA Talent Agency, a leader in dance representation.123
