Jocelyn Walcott is currently pursuing a JD/MSEd in Education Policy at the University of Pennsylvania. She has a strong background in legal and leadership roles with a focus on investigations, regulatory law, and equitable public education. Jocelyn holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, a Master of Science in Education Policy from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education, and a Bachelor of Arts in Hispanic Studies and Political Science, Cum Laude, from Davidson College.
During her academic journey, Jocelyn also enriched her education through various programs including the Spanish Language and Culture Study Abroad Program at Universidad Complutense de Madrid and the Wharton Certificate in Management at The Wharton School. Additionally, she attended The Lawrenceville School for her studies.
Jocelyn has been actively involved in multiple organizations and positions, showcasing her dedication and diverse skill set. She has served as a Black Girls' Education Justice Initiatives Legal Volunteer at Education Law Center-PA, a Contracts Teaching Assistant at University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, a Summer Legal Intern at the U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights, and an SEO Law Fellow at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz among others. Her experience includes roles such as Law Clerk, Humanities Teacher, Program Organizer, Peer Academic Coach, Honor Council Defense Advisor, and Research Assistant in various institutions and schools.
With a particular interest in legal research and writing, Jocelyn Walcott possesses valuable skills that have been refined through her professional endeavors.
