Jocelyn Greene

Jocelyn Greene is an experienced theater arts educator and the Executive Director and Founder of Child's Play NY, a program dedicated to providing innovative theater arts classes for children. Based in Brooklyn, New York, she has been involved in this role since February 2009, overseeing various educational initiatives that promote social-emotional learning through the arts.1

In her capacity as a Child’s Play NY Program Facilitator, Greene has worked with several prestigious institutions, including LePort Schools, where she has been active since January 2019. Her responsibilities include directing and managing theatrical productions, developing curricula, and training instructors. She is known for creating engaging programs that help young people interpret both classic and contemporary works.1

Greene's background includes extensive experience in directing plays, recruiting volunteers for production support, and managing budgets and schedules for theater programs. She also provides coaching for MFA candidates preparing for auditions, demonstrating her commitment to nurturing talent in the performing arts.1
