João Moura

João Moura is the CEO of Fraudio, a venture capital-backed scale-up based in Amsterdam that focuses on combating complex fraud and money laundering in the payments sector by offering a cutting-edge Software as a Service (SaaS) product powered by advanced Artificial Intelligence.

With over fifteen years of experience spanning academia and industry, João's expertise was honed during his PhD studies in Artificial Intelligence and through his tenure in various sectors including telecommunications, cybersecurity, and payments prior to establishing Fraudio.

João Moura holds a Doctorate - PhD in Computer Science specialized in Artificial Intelligence from Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Additionally, he completed coursework for a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Big Data & Business Analytics at the University of Amsterdam's Amsterdam Business School. His educational background also includes European Master of Science degrees in Computational Logic from Technische Universität Wien and Universidade Nova de Lisboa, as well as a 5-year Engineering degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
