João Almeida Leitão

João Almeida Leitão is a self-motivated individual enthusiastic about leveraging technology to simplify and improve people's lives.

With a rich background in entrepreneurship, João co-founded Followprice three years ago, successfully securing a seed round of 645.000€, acquiring a company, leading enterprise sales, managing product development, coding, and overseeing a team of 20 employees that reached over 350.000 users across 20 countries.

His recent venture involves co-founding Ecommerce Connect, an exclusive event connecting online stores with solution providers. The inaugural event boasted over 200 participants from major Portuguese online stores and received sponsorship from industry giants like Facebook, Google, Adyen, and Salesforce, among others.

João's educational journey includes studying Structural Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico and Universidade de Coimbra, obtaining a Diploma de Formação Avançada em Estruturas and a Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.

Throughout his career, João has held significant roles such as Founder & President at E-commerce Connect, Digital Business Professor at Instituto Superior de Comunicação Empresarial, Founder & CEO at Followprice, Founder & Head of Business and Technology at SOLIDCALC, Software Developer & Product Manager at CSI Portugal, and as a Structural Engineer & Software Developer at Flexilam / Límtré, an Icelandic company.
