Joanne Throwe

Joanne Throwe is the President of Throwe Environmental, LLC.12 She has an extensive background in environmental policy and natural resource management. Throwe previously served as a Senior Fellow at the University of Maryland School of Public Policy and was the Deputy Secretary for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources from 2015 to 2019.12

Throwe has held several notable positions:

• Co-chair of the US EPA Stormwater Task Force for America's Water Infrastructure Act
• Chair of U.S. EPA's Environmental Financial Advisory Board, providing innovative financing recommendations to the EPA Administrator123
• Director at the University of Maryland Environmental Finance Center for 10 years

Her experience also includes:

• Working at the USDA
• Serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Solomon Islands
• Participating in the inaugural Maryland Leadership Program on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion from the University of Baltimore

Throwe holds a Master's degree from the University of Maryland School of Public Policy and currently resides in Bristol, Rhode Island.12
