Joanna Purcell is a partnerships and donor relations professional with expertise in partnership development with institutional donors within the UN system.

With a background in rapid onset emergencies and danger zones, Joanna has demonstrated her ability to work effectively in complex and stressful environments.

She holds a Master's degree in Management from Università Degli Studi Di Torino and Master's degrees in Teaching, Linguistics, and English Language from the University of Limerick, along with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Limerick.

Joanna's professional experience includes roles such as Donor Relations and Partnerships Lead, Government Partnerships Officer, External Relations and Reports Officer, and Government Partnerships Policy Assistant at the World Food Programme.

Prior to her work at the World Food Programme, she held positions such as Director of Studies at Thames Valley School, Community Development Volunteer at Centro De Desarrollo Con Dignidad, and English Tutor at various organizations.
