Joann Chen is a former Vice President at Bain Capital turned Senior Advisor at Employment Technology Fund (ETF@JFFLabs) at Jobs for the Future. With a degree in Economics and African Studies from the University of Chicago and an MBA from Harvard Business School, Chen has worked across private equity, social impact, and venture investing.

Throughout her career, Chen has held various leadership positions in the finance sector, including as Partner at Equal Opportunity Ventures and Investment Officer at ImpactAssets. She has also worked in the social enterprise sector as a Finance Fellow at Sanergy and Program Director at Spark Ventures.
