Meet Jo Cooke, a knowledgeable and accomplished Site Reliability Engineer with an impressive background in Quality Assurance and extensive experience in software development. Holding a Bachelor of Science degree with Upper Second (2:1) Honors in Psychology from the University of Worcester, Jo started her professional journey as a Test Officer at UCAS and demonstrated a natural talent for testing and software development.
Passionate about the subject, Jo moved up the ranks, working in a variety of roles as a Test Specialist, Agile Test Engineer, Technical Team Lead, and eventually as Quality Assurance Lead, where she had the opportunity to develop and implement quality assurance strategies across the company. Subsequently, Jo became a Senior Lead Test Engineer before moving into her current role as Site Reliability Engineer.
Throughout her career, Jo has paved the way for agile testing methodologies, test automation, cross-functional teamwork, continuous integration, and continuous delivery. During her time at UCAS, Jo worked on successful implementations of testing frameworks such as Selenium Webdriver and Protractor, and helped to introduce automated-testing practices for UCAS's API testing activities.
As a proactive team player with exceptional leadership skills, Jo continues to deliver valuable outcomes that drive business success.
