Jinu Um

Jinu Um is a Programme Coordinator at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), where he has been working since 2016.1 His career is focused on leveraging Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to improve people's lives and promote global connectivity.

Professional Background

Jinu Um's professional journey began in 2001 at the Korea Communications Agency (KCA), where he concentrated on global cooperation and international organizations in the ICT field.1 During his time at KCA, he:

• Established an international training program on spectrum management for decision-makers from developing countries
• Served as a project management officer for national projects on "Next Generation Broadcasting"

From 2012, Jinu worked for the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) in the Republic of Korea.1 In this role, he was a core organizing member of:

• OECD Science & Technology Ministerial Meeting 2015
