Jim Woodhill is a renowned specialist in global food security, inclusive agribusiness, and multi-stakeholder partnerships with over 25 years of experience in international development across various domains.

Currently, serving as an independent consultant, Jim focuses on the intersection of agriculture, food sectors, and addressing global challenges such as poverty, health, and the environment, striving for a sustainable and equitable future.

Throughout his career, Jim has engaged extensively with international development, business, and non-governmental organizations, taking on pivotal roles in strategy development, program management, research, training, evaluation, and international policy processes.

Jim's expertise lies in fostering innovative partnerships between business, government, civil society, and research to address sustainability challenges through systems thinking, value chain management, organizational change, and participatory planning and evaluation approaches.

His specialties include multi-stakeholder processes, facilitation, institutional development, value chain analysis, monitoring and evaluation, capacity development, complexity and systems thinking.

Jim Woodhill holds a PhD in Political Economics from The Australian National University and has studied Agricultural Science at the University of Sydney after completing his education at Hurlstone Agricultural High School.

He has been associated with prestigious institutions like the Environmental Change Institute (ECI) at the University of Oxford, where he serves as an Honorary Research Associate. He has also held significant positions at the Institute of Development Studies, AgriFoodNexus, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Wageningen UR, IUCN, Greening Australia, University of Western Sydney, and Outward Bound Australia.
