Dr. Jim King
Director at M.Sc. in Information Systems (UMHB)
Dr. Jim King is the Director of the M.Sc. in Information Systems Program at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (UMHB) and has been in this role since January 2020. He also serves as a Professor at UMHB, a position he has held since August 1993. His academic focus includes microenterprise development, cultural impacts on business practices, and information technology as a facilitator of change.
In addition to his role at UMHB, Dr. King is the President of Change University, an organization dedicated to addressing global issues such as homelessness, poverty, and hunger through education and community engagement. He has also been involved with the Preemptive Love Coalition since 2008 and has extensive experience in leading student study abroad programs across various countries.
Dr. King holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems from The University of Texas at Arlington, as well as an MBA from Baylor University's Hankamer School of Business. His career includes significant administrative roles, such as Dean of the McLane College of Business and Chairperson of the Computer & Information Sciences Department at UMHB.1
