Jim Elgar holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Marketing from Georgia State University's J. Mack Robinson College of Business and a BA in History from Furman University.
With a diverse professional background, Jim Elgar currently serves as the Senior Policy Advisor & Community Affairs at the Office Of Chairman J.P. Matzigkeit.
Throughout his career, he has held various roles including Consultant at the Georgia Pharmacy Association, Committee Aide for the Senate Natural Resources and the Environment at the Georgia General Assembly, and Director of Intergovernmental Affairs and Policy Research at the Office of Atlanta City Council President.
Jim Elgar has also demonstrated his expertise in campaign management, having served as Campaign Manager for multiple political campaigns including Steve Broadbent for Fulton County Commission Chairman and John Heard for Commissioner.

Prior to his political engagements, Jim Elgar gained valuable industry experience at Infinity Insurance, where he held positions such as Senior Product Analyst, Business Development Project Manager, and Internal Business Development Representative.
