In this position I managed and grew a team of talented engineers from 18 to 74 highly competent and valued contributors who oversaw Wind River’s Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) strategy which included the development of the industry’s first application-ready, carrier-grade NFV platform known as Wind River Titanium Cloud, which featured a 6-9’s virtualization platform. I also conceived industry leading distributed edge architecture to allow flexible deployment of virtual machine and/or container-based applications at IOT scale, yet managed from a single pane of glass.

Joint venture initiatives included:
•	The creation of StarlingX, an open source and highly reliable cloud infrastructure project we developed in collaboration with Intel and the OpenStack Foundation. 
•	The formation of the open source project, Akraino, which created a deployable edge solution for telecom and industrial edge applications, in partnership with Intel, AT&T, and Linux Foundation.

Additionally, I developed and launched a high school STEM program, “Computing in the Classroom” in partnership with NorthForge, Fulbright Canada, the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario, and Boston College to promote high school level technology education.

At GENBAND I directed a multi-site development team of 350+ engineers and oversaw all platform software, OA&M software, systems architecture, and hardware development. I served as the Site Prime for GENBAND Ottawa and  orchestrated a re-architecture program that virtualized the entire call server and OAM portfolio on standardized commercial servers resulting in doubled performance and a 60% reduction in cost.
