Jim Claire is a seasoned financial services executive, with a strong background in institutional asset management and capital markets. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, his expertise covers a wide range of areas, including client relationship management, business development, portfolio management, risk management, and regulatory issues. He has a proven track record of growing revenues through client interactions and executing global business plans across large financial organizations. Jim is a graduate of the University of Vermont, where he studied Economics.
Before joining LPL Financial as Vice President in their Overlay Portfolio Management Group, Jim was a Consultant/Partner at Double Eagle Partners and Director of New Business Development at RGP. He also served on the Default Clock Committee as a board member. Prior to that, Jim was Senior Marketing Partner (US) at EFW Capital Advisors AG and Managing Director at Mizuho Securities USA Inc., where he was Head of Client Relationship Management & Chief of Staff to CEO. He was formerly a Corporate Expert in Capital Markets at FDIC and Managing Partner at Firm Mast Guidance, LLP.
Jim also has notable experience in fixed income trading, having held senior positions at leading financial institutions such as Columbia Management, where he was Senior Managing Director and Head of Cash Investments Trading, and Bear Stearns and Brown Brothers Harriman.
Jim is a Capital Markets Professional with a proven ability to discern and capitalize on financial market opportunities and trends, using his strong analytical and risk management background combined with excellent communication and client relationship skills. He maintains excellent financial markets acumen and is ideally suited to help organizations enhance their client revenue generating capabilities.
