Currently serving as a 757/767 Captain and Line Check Airman at Delta Air Lines, Jim Butterworth has held key leadership positions in various organizations such as the Georgia Emergency Management Agency/Homeland Security and the Georgia National Guard.
He also has a political background, having served as a senator in the Georgia State Senate and as the Chairman of the Habersham County Board of Commissioners.
His military career includes roles as a Pilot, Aircraft Commander, and Flight Lead in the Georgia Air National Guard, as well as a C-5 A/B pilot in the US Air Force Reserve and a T-38 Instructor Pilot at the 50th Flying Training Squadron.
Jim Butterworth holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Georgia - Franklin College of Arts and Sciences.
