Jill Elliott

Jill Elliott is an artist and the founder of Color Kind Studio, a design studio based in Dallas that specializes in creating vibrant, hand-painted wallpapers and artwork. She established the studio in 2021, inspired by her passion for color and the therapeutic effects of art in home environments. Elliott's journey into art began while she was studying marketing at Texas Christian University, where she took up painting as a calming hobby.

Prior to founding Color Kind Studio, Elliott spent two decades in the fashion industry, notably serving as the chief creative director at Fossil. Her experience there encompassed various aspects of design, from visual merchandising to concept development. The idea for her studio emerged during a home renovation when she struggled to find suitable wallpaper, leading her to create her own designs, starting with the Color Grid wallpaper, which features watercolor swatches.124

Elliott's work is characterized by playful color combinations and patterns that aim to evoke joy and calmness in living spaces. She believes that well-designed environments can significantly impact one's energy and overall well-being. In addition to wallpapers, Color Kind Studio also offers original artwork and accepts commissions for custom designs.234
