周子杰 Jie

周子杰 Jie, known as Ryan Chew, is a second-generation serial entrepreneur and the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Tribe, a Singapore Government-supported deep technology innovation and talent platform.

Prior to his role at Tribe, Ryan was the Managing Director (Asia Pacific) and a member of the Board of Directors at Verlocal, a Silicon Valley-based Startup where he experienced significant growth and impact in a short period.

Ryan has a diverse background in the startup scene, having founded multiple startups in various industries such as gaming apps and utility apps, with one of his gaming mobile apps being acquired at the age of 21.

His entrepreneurial journey includes ventures like Fixir, which aimed to revolutionize the car repair industry with a model comparable to Uber's. These startups were supported and accelerated by notable organizations like Plug and Play, Mercedes, and Singapore Press Holdings.

In his quest as a serial entrepreneur, Ryan is dedicated to fostering sustainable communities that empower companies to harness cutting-edge technologies effectively.

Ryan's expertise extends to the field of blockchain technologies where he pursued studies in Business Innovation and Application at the MIT Sloan School of Management, complementing his educational background in Sociology from Lund University, Nanyang Technological University, and Singapore Polytechnic.

Aside from his entrepreneurial pursuits, Ryan has served as a Commissioned Officer in the Singapore Armed Forces (Military), achieving recognition with the Commanding Officer Coin and holding the rank of a Captain in the Singapore Artillery.
