Jessie Williamson is an evolutionary ecologist with a diverse range of interests in various fields including high-altitude biology, austral migration, ecological physiology, and population genetics. Their research work involves a mix of fieldwork, genomics, and modeling, focusing on aspects such as diversity patterns, elevational range specialization, and seasonal movement. Jessie conducts research in the U.S. and the South American Andes, exploring topics like host-parasite dynamics, biogeography, and natural history. With a background in Evolutionary Biology and a strong educational foundation from The University of New Mexico and Middlebury College, Jessie is currently a PhD candidate at The University of New Mexico. Throughout their career, Jessie has held numerous roles including Environmental Science Instructor, Fulbright Fellow, Lead Researcher, Program Development Lead, and Research Assistant, showcasing a diverse skill set and a passion for conservation and education.
