Jessica Varat, Deputy Chief of Party at World Resources Institute

Jessica Varat is currently serving as the Deputy Chief of Party for the USAID Countering Nature Crime (CNC) project at the World Resources Institute (WRI).1234 In this role, she oversees day-to-day operations and project management.1

Varat is responsible for new business development and stewarding strategic partnerships for WRI's government donors.2 She recently started this new position in October 2023, expressing excitement about supporting the project to combat nature crime.5

Prior to her current role, Varat held the position of Senior Manager for International Cooperation at WRI from 2022 to 2023.4 She has also served as a guest speaker for the Africa Program at the Wilson Center.6
