Jessica Thompson

Jessica Thompson is the Founder and CEO of YOGO, a company that produces eco-friendly, compact yoga mats focused on performance and design.12 She has a background in green products, climate project financing, and sustainability.3

Thompson holds a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology and Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she graduated with Highest Honors in the Major.3 She also earned a Master's degree in Emerging Markets Economics and Finance from The Johns Hopkins University - Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).3

Before founding YOGO, Thompson worked in energy consulting and multilateral climate finance.4 She started YOGO to take a more hands-on approach to sustainability, leveraging design tools in the application of yoga.5 Under her leadership, YOGO has implemented eco-friendly initiatives, such as the "Food Trees for Poverty" program, which donates one tree per yoga mat sold to African or Latin American countries.1

In 2020, Thompson moved YOGO's operations and corporate office to Sparks, Nevada, citing the area's pro-business environment, robust logistics resources, and vibrant entrepreneurial community as key factors in the decision.2
