Jessica Oyler

Jessica Oyler is the Vice President for Student Access & Success at Weber State University (WSU), a position she has held since June 2023. She was appointed as the inaugural vice president of this newly created division, which integrates enrollment management and student success initiatives with functions from the former Student Affairs division. The goal of this role is to enhance student recruitment, retention, and graduation rates while providing comprehensive educational experiences beyond the classroom.2

Oyler's career at WSU began in 2008, and she has since occupied various leadership roles, including Assistant Vice President for Human Resources and Director of Student Affairs Strategic Initiatives. In her previous position as Associate Provost of Enrollment Management & Student Success, she managed over 90 employees across multiple departments, including Admissions and Financial Aid.12

She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Utah, a master's degree in Postsecondary Educational Leadership from San Diego State University, and a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Food and Life Sciences from the University of Arkansas. Oyler emphasizes the importance of making the college experience more accessible and understandable for students and their families, aiming to streamline processes and improve support services.2
