Jessica Jaeger

Jessica Jaeger serves as the Treasurer and Treasury Services Division Director for the City of Seattle. Her career in finance began with a strong educational foundation, being a first-generation college graduate from a family of rice farmers from Laos and China. Inspired by a bank commercial she saw at age 10, she pursued a degree in finance and landed an internship at Washington Mutual Bank during her junior year of college. This experience sparked her interest in treasury and capital markets, leading to her first role as a bank examiner focused on treasury functions after graduation.1

Throughout her career, Jaeger has emphasized the importance of continuous learning and adaptability. She has worked across various industries, including banking, technology, healthcare, and the public sector, which has allowed her to develop a diverse skill set. Jaeger advocates for young professionals to embrace challenges and seek opportunities that may not align with their initial career paths, as these experiences contribute to becoming well-rounded employees.12

In her current role at the City of Seattle, she oversees treasury operations and is involved in financial management strategies for the city.
