Jessica Bailey is the President and CEO of Nuveen Green Capital, a prominent provider of sustainable commercial real estate finance. She co-founded Greenworks Lending, which was the largest provider of commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) financing in the United States before it was acquired by Nuveen in 2021. Under her leadership, Greenworks Lending grew into a national platform, operating in over 30 states and raising over a billion dollars in capital for clean energy projects.123
Bailey has over 20 years of experience in various leadership roles across non-profit, public, and private sectors. Before establishing Greenworks, she served as the Director of C-PACE at the Connecticut Green Bank, where she designed a successful statewide financing program for clean energy improvements, which became a model for other states.13
Her career also includes significant roles at the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, where she managed a portfolio focused on combating climate change, and she has worked with organizations like the United Nations and Physicians for Social Responsibility. Bailey holds a Master’s degree from Yale University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame. She resides in Connecticut with her husband and four children.1234
