Jessica holds a Master's degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from South Dakota State University, where she also studied Journalism & Mass Communications with a Minor in Criminal Justice.

Her professional journey includes roles such as Grant development specialist, Grant Coordinator, Communications & Outreach Coordinator, Grant Writer & Development Officer, freelance journalist, photographer, editor, and various other positions in reputable organizations like South Dakota State University, South Dakota Humanities Council, and Lower Brule Community College.

Prior to her current endeavors, Jessica gained experience as a Staff Reporter, Child Care Worker, Information Specialist, and Assistant Director in different capacities.
