    Jessica Albers is an Associate Professor and Graduate Program Coordinator at Minnesota State University, Mankato.1 She holds a Ph.D. in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota, specializing in Behavioral Aspects of Physical Activity with a minor in Prevention Science.1 Her academic interests include undergraduate student research, teaching motivational interviewing techniques, and increasing culture and diversity discussions in exercise science.1

    Dr. Albers' research focuses on heart rate variability, youth physical activity programs, physiological responses to jump rope as a training tool, college physical activity, and stress.1 She is certified as an ACSM-Exercise Physiologist, Exercise Is Medicine- Level 2, and ACSM Physical Activity and Public Health Specialist.1

    Currently, Dr. Albers is involved in several research projects, including studying the use of physical activity in coping with the transition to online learning and examining the impact of perceived cardiovascular disease susceptibility on CVD literacy and physical activity levels.1

    Prior to her current position, Jessica Albers was a Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Minnesota from August 2010 to July 2015, where she also worked as a Lecturer and Teaching Assistant.2
