Jess Tang
Intern Counsellor
Jess Tang is a dedicated mentor, facilitator, and coach with a passion for guiding individuals to reach their full potential. As the Program Co-Director for Shad UBC, she focuses on developing programs to empower exceptional high school students. Jess believes in the magic of bringing people together authentically, inspiring them to become better versions of themselves. She aims to nurture youth and Team Leaders to leave with more confidence and a drive to make a positive impact on the world.
Beyond her role at Shad UBC, Jess is deeply committed to fostering authentic and courageous leadership, especially in supporting individuals pursuing ambitious goals. She also serves as a wrestling coach and Board Member for Wrestling Canada and Ontario wrestling, actively working to increase female participation in the sport across all levels.
Outside of her professional endeavors, you can find Jess immersing herself in various activities, from Crossfit training and impromptu dance parties to music sessions with a guitar or drum set. She also co-founded a Lean-In Circle, demonstrating her commitment to empowering and uplifting those around her. Jess's educational background includes a Bachelor of Commerce with Honors in Marketing from The University of British Columbia.
