Jerry D. Parrish, Ph.D.

Dr. Jerry D. Parrish, currently holding the position of Chief Economist and Director of Research at the Florida Chamber Foundation, is an esteemed expert in the fields of economics and research.

With a rich educational background, Dr. Parrish earned his Ph.D. in Economics from Auburn University, M.S. in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and an M.B.A. in Management from Bellarmine University.

Prior to his current role, he served as the Chief Economist and Director of the Center for Competitive Florida at Florida TaxWatch, a prominent taxpayer research institute in Florida.

Dr. Parrish is a prolific writer, regularly sharing insights on the Florida economy, competitiveness, property and casualty insurance systems, and other economic facets relevant to the local community.

His valuable experience also includes a tenure as the Associate Director of the Center for Economic Forecasting & Analysis at Florida State University and several years in managerial positions within global manufacturing companies.
