Jeroen Janssens is a prominent figure in the field of data science, known for his roles as a consultant, educator, and author. Education and Career
Jeroen holds a PhD in machine learning from Tilburg University and an MSc in artificial intelligence from Maastricht University. Before establishing his own company, he served as an assistant professor at the Jheronimus Academy of Data Science and worked as a data scientist at Elsevier and several startups in New York City.1 Currently, he is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Xomnia in Amsterdam.1
Contributions to Data Science
In addition to his teaching and consulting work, Janssens is the author of Data Science at the Command Line, published by O'Reilly Media. This book provides insights into using command-line tools for data science tasks and has been well-received in the community. He is also working on a new book titled Python Polars: The Definitive Guide, expected to be released in August 2024.123
Personal Life
