Jeremy Tan

Jeremy Tan is an entrepreneur and innovator based in Singapore. He is currently the CEO and Co-founder of Verta Bioenergy, a position he has held since June 2024.1 However, he is perhaps best known as the Founder and CEO of Advantir Innovations, a role he has occupied since March 2018.1

Advantir Innovations is a company that developed Swirl.GO, an innovative soft-serve dessert machine. The Swirl.GO uses a capsule-based system, similar to Nespresso coffee makers, to produce a variety of frozen desserts including ice cream, gelato, sorbet, and frozen yogurt.2 The machine was designed to address issues with traditional soft-serve machines, such as their size, cost, and limited flavor options.2

Prior to founding Advantir, Tan held various positions in companies such as Singtel, ExxonMobil, and Nielsen Company.1 He has a strong educational background, having studied at the National University of Singapore, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Technopreneurship.1 He also participated in the NUS Overseas Colleges programme, studying Entrepreneurship at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.1

Tan's entrepreneurial journey with Advantir Innovations has been marked by significant achievements. In early 2021, the company raised a seven-figure seed funding round led by Raging Bull Investments, with participation from other venture capital firms and angel investors.2 This funding was aimed at expanding the company's international footprint and further developing their product line.2
