Jens Zimmermann is a seasoned senior investment, private equity (PE), and venture capital (VC) manager with extensive experience in Western and Emerging Markets.

With a career spanning over 25 years, Jens has led and co-led more than 50 investments and held positions on over 25 boards, showcasing his strategic acumen and leadership skills.

Since 2005, Jens has primarily focused on high-growth markets, bringing his expertise to various impactful ventures.

He currently serves as a Board Member of Advtech, Africa's largest private education group, and Beaconhouse, the world's second largest private school network mainly situated in Asia & the Middle East.

Additionally, Jens is a distinguished Board Member of G3eniu7 Inc, an innovative edtech platform focused on adaptive learning.

From 2007 to 2017, Jens held the role of Partner & Managing Director at New Silk Route Growth Capital, a prominent USD 1.3 billion fund concentrating on South Asia and other Emerging Markets, with investments spanning diverse sectors such as education, healthcare, retail, hospitality, financial services, entertainment, telecom, media, technology, and infrastructure.

Being a Member of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO) and a founding member of the Harvard Business School alumni clubs in Germany and the GCC region, Jens is well-connected and actively participates in various professional networks.

Prior to his current roles, Jens Zimmermann excelled as a professional athlete and pursued his academic interests by studying an MBA in Business at Harvard Business School and Diplom-Kaufmann in International Business at the University of Hamburg.
