Jenny Tang
Art historian and independent curator
Jenny Tang is a historian of modern and contemporary art and visual culture with a focus on race, subjectivity, and aesthetics. She is a joint PhD candidate in History of Art and Film and Media Studies at Yale University.
Currently, Jenny Tang is completing her dissertation on confinement and mid-twentieth-century Atlantic modernism. She is also a 2020-21 Mellon-Marron Research Consortium Fellow at the Museum of Modern Art, NY.
Jenny Tang's educational background includes studying BA Year 2 in History of Art at The Courtauld Institute of Art, BA in Art History at Williams College, and pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in History of Art and Film and Media Studies at Yale University.
Throughout her career, Jenny has been involved with various prestigious organizations, including being a Visiting Research Scholar at Humboldt University of Berlin, a Preparator's Assistant for Exhibition Design and Planning at Williams College Museum of Art, and a Curatorial Intern at The Studio Museum in Harlem.
