    Jenny Randall is a Chartered Senior Engineer with over 15 years of experience, currently working at Arup in the Buildings team as a Sustainability Engineer.

    In her role, Jenny assists clients in refining their sustainability goals to achieve zero carbon emissions in real-world applications. She specializes in embodied and whole life carbon calculations, optimizing energy consumption through building physics, and contributing to passive design solutions.

    Jenny stays abreast of the latest materials and standards in sustainability from organizations like LETI, UNGBC, NABERS, RICS, RIBA, Passivhaus, and NHBC. She collaborates with colleagues from diverse disciplines to leverage their wealth of experience and data, focusing on areas such as embodied carbon, offsetting, facade design, and natural ventilation to propel projects towards regenerative outcomes.

    Currently, Jenny is involved in advising two Universities on their journey to zero carbon, engaging with the community through projects like with Slung Low, and holds the position of Equally Diversity and Inclusion Chair for Arup's Leeds and York offices.

    Prior to her current role, Jenny gained 7 years of experience at LEDA, working across Mechanical and Electrical disciplines to optimize buildings for energy efficiency, buildability, and usability. She has a strong foundation in engineering, ranging from project bids to on-site implementation, and has conducted Post Occupancy Evaluations to enhance building design.

    Jenny Randall pursued her Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, achieving a 2:1 at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne.

    Throughout her career, Jenny has held key roles at prestigious organizations such as Arup, LEDA, Atkins, Wallace Whittle, and Whitby Bird and Partners Engineers.
