Jennifer Xu

Jennifer Xu is a growth mindset-driven social impact leader with over 15 years of experience in raising $100M+ in philanthropic and venture capital to scale products and services for sustainable, livable, and equitable communities worldwide.

She is currently the VP of Philanthropy at CommonLit, a global edtech nonprofit, and also the US Head of Development at Epic Foundation, connecting donors and nonprofits benefiting disadvantaged children globally.

Jennifer served as the Director of Investor Relations and Strategic Initiatives at 500 Startups, concentrating on building relationships and the firm's global portfolio management strategy.

With a background in economic development, she founded the first US-Asia economic development agency at the San Francisco Mayor's Office, fostering innovation between Silicon Valley and Asia.

Jennifer's research work at Stanford University focuses on education and healthcare reform in Asia, including implementing edtech pilots in rural schools.

She holds a BA in Economics and Asian Studies from Bowdoin College and has been involved in various organizations, such as Family Offices, BLOCK71 Global, IndieBio, and Room to Read, among others.
