Jennifer Monies

Jennifer Monies is the Vice President of Public Affairs at Saxum, specializing in the intersection of communications and politics to drive positive change in the state Capitol of Oklahoma.

With a background in journalism, political, and corporate communications, Jennifer leverages her skills to provide unique insights to Saxum's clients on effective communication and advocacy strategies.

Prior to Saxum, Jennifer held roles such as a political reporter at The Oklahoman and Congressional Quarterly, and served in key press and policy advisory positions for political figures like Speaker of the House Chris Benge and Senate President Pro Tempore Brian Bingman.

She also played a pivotal role in establishing and managing the Communication Department at the State Chamber of Oklahoma, overseeing both internal and external communications and marketing efforts for the organization.

Jennifer's commitment to education advocacy led her to serve as the Executive Director of Oklahoma Achieves, where she championed improvements in the state's PK-12 education system for over four years.

Jennifer Monies is a proud alumnus of the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned her Bachelor of Journalism degree, and the University of Central Oklahoma, where she obtained her Master of Public Administration.

Currently residing in urban Oklahoma City with her family, Jennifer also contributes to the Oklahoma State Board of Education, furthering her dedication to educational advancement and public service.
