Jennifer McDonnell is an experienced stakeholder engagement and consultation leader with over 18 years of experience working with a wide range of clients. With a background in psychology, Jen is skilled in facilitation, community capacity building, communications, evaluation, community consultation and engagement. Her experience includes working on complex and controversial consultation projects, particularly in the areas of infrastructure projects such as water, transport, power, and renewable energy including wind energy, hybrid-off-grid power, solar, and Smart Grids. She has also worked closely with bushfire-affected communities in Kangaroo Island, delivering pro-bono project management, facilitation, and engagement services for recovery projects.
Jen is known for her high ethical standards and is skilled in adding value to client needs by understanding their strategic context and providing a range of services that include project management, workshop facilitation, training, collaboration with government and non-government organizations, conflict management and sensitive issues management, working with regional and trauma-impacted communities, strategic future planning and community resilience building.
Jennifer holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Biological Sciences from Flinders University and a Master's degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Tasmania. She is currently the Principal Stakeholder Engagement Consultant at WSP Australia & New Zealand and has previously worked at Entura as Snr Social and Environmental Consultant and co-founded Beech Environmental Services.
