Jennifer Husbands
Jennifer Husbands is an accomplished education professional with extensive experience in teacher induction and alternative certification. She has worked for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation as a Senior Program Officer, and as the Founding Executive Director for Schools That Can, a national organization that supports urban schools. Husbands has also worked as the Director for the Ausl Institute at Academy for Urban School Leadership, and as a former Regional Co-Chair for Schools That Can.
Husbands holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Education from Stanford University, a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and American Studies from the University of Virginia, and studied at Conestoga High School. She has worked as an Educational Administration at Chicago Public Schools, a Program Director for Teacher Induction at New Teacher Center, and as a Director of Teacher Credentialing at High Tech High. Husbands has also served as a Board Member for Buck Institute for Education and as Board Secretary for the National Association for Alternative Certification.
