Jennifer Garrison, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at the Buck Institute for Research on Aging and co-Founder and Director of the Global Consortium for Reproductive Longevity and Equality (GCRLE).12 She holds secondary appointments in the Department of Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and the Leonard Davis School of Gerontology at the University of Southern California (USC).14
Dr. Garrison's research focuses on understanding how chemical communication between the brain and other tissues influences aging, with a particular emphasis on interactions between the ovary and brain during middle age to identify neuronal factors leading to reproductive decline.14 She is a passionate advocate for women's health and is pioneering efforts to advance science focused on female reproductive aging.24
