Jennifer Ferro
President, KCRW
Jennifer Ferro is the President of KCRW, a prominent public radio station based in Southern California. Under her leadership, KCRW has evolved into a global community hub that connects audiences through music, news, and culture, both online and offline. She has been instrumental in creating over 100 hours of original programming each week and successfully led a $50 million capital campaign that resulted in the station's move to a state-of-the-art facility in 2018.13
Ferro joined KCRW in 1994 and has held various roles, including Assistant General Manager and Executive Producer of the show "Good Food." Her experience spans development, membership, production, operations, and marketing.1 In addition to her role at KCRW, she serves as Chair of the NPR Board and is involved with several organizations, including the International Women's Forum of Southern California and Marfa Public Radio. Ferro was recognized with the UCLA Award for Public Service in 2018.12
She holds a Bachelor's degree from UCLA and is also a youth soccer coach, having co-founded the Women’s Coach Initiative to promote female coaches in youth sports. Ferro actively mentors students at both graduate and undergraduate levels.1
