Jena Lee Nardella, a well-known name in the nonprofit sector, is set to join the executive team of Justice Defenders, a nonprofit organization. Jena brings a wealth of leadership experience and a passion for advocacy and movement building. She spent seven years as a Partner of the Nonprofit Portfolio at Praxis, where she helped build a community of faith-based social entrepreneurs, leading the flagship nonprofit accelerator program. Jena also co-founded Blood and served as its Co-Founder and Executive Director. During her leadership tenure, the organization raised over $20M in grants to help civil society organizations combat HIV/AIDS and water issues in sub-Saharan Africa. In her memoir, One Thousand Wells: How an Audacious Goal Taught Me to Love the World Instead of Save it, Jena recounts her entrepreneurial journey, which underscores her passion for advocacy and social justice. Jena holds a degree in Political Studies from Whitworth University and lives in Boston with her husband and two children.
