She holds MA and PhD degrees in Government from Georgetown University and an undergraduate degree in Biology/Environmental Science.

Jen has held various academic positions at esteemed institutions like Texas A&M at Qatar, Smith College, and the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, and has worked with renowned organizations such as USAID, the US House of Representatives, and the US Institute of Peace.

Her expertise spans training, emergent strategy, program design and implementation, organizational assessments, equity audits, and research, with a focus on inclusive and trauma-responsive development and complexity-aware methods.

Jen's contributions extend to racial equity work in the US, concentrating on educating individuals, especially white people, on whiteness, structural racism, and promoting JEDI practices within organizations.
