Jeffrey Hart
Professor Emeritus at Indiana University Bloomington
Jeffrey Hart is an Emeritus Professor of Political Science at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, with a specialization in international political economy.
During his tenure at Indiana University, spanning from 1981 to 2013, Hart conducted extensive research on the politics of international economic competitiveness in advanced industrial countries.
He collaborated on a globalization project with Aseem Prakash, resulting in three edited volumes and authored a book on the politics of high definition television (HDTV) and digital television.
Hart has also worked with Sangbae Kim on essays concerning the importance of information technology and conducted research with Stefanie Lenway and Tom Murtha at the University of Minnesota on the world flat panel display industry, sponsored by a grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.
His specialties include International Political Economy and the political economy of high technology industries.
Hart earned his PhD in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and completed his BA in Political Science at Swarthmore College.
