Jeffrey Goss
Associate Vice Provost & Executive Director of Global Outreach and Extended Education at Arizona State University
Jeffrey Goss is an internationally recognized workforce development expert with over 20 years of experience leading education and capacity building projects.3 He currently serves as the Associate Vice Provost for Southeast Asia Programs and Executive Director of Global Outreach and Extended Education at Arizona State University (ASU).1
Goss has been instrumental in developing and leading several major STEM capacity-building projects in Vietnam. He has been the Principal Investigator/Project Director for a portfolio of projects with grants exceeding $30M, including the Vietnam Higher Engineering Education Alliance Program (HEEAP) and the Building University-Industry Learning and Development through Innovation and Technology (BUILD-IT) program.1
At ASU, Goss leads Global Engagement, ASU Engineering Online graduate degree programs, and Executive/Professional Development programs. He has played a key role in developing engineering digital immersion capabilities, offering over 15 online undergraduate and graduate degree certificates for over 7,000 learners.1
Goss received his BS in Public Relations and Management from Central Michigan University and a Master of Arts Degree in Higher Education Administration from George Washington University. In 2015, he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from Ho Chi Minh University of Technology and Education for his contributions to improving STEM Higher Education in Vietnam.1
His work has significantly contributed to advancing social and economic development in Vietnam through partnerships between academia, industry, and government.2 Goss has been integral in creating bridges for Vietnamese universities to explore global opportunities and standards in education.2
