He is particularly drawn to innovative concepts that redefine industries, capitalize on network effects, incorporate social elements, and are grounded in robust technology. Having a background as a founder himself, Jeff has a penchant for working with visionary founders possessing strong product intuition and a profound understanding of their customer base.

With a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University, Jeff Tannenbaum brings a solid educational foundation to his venture capital work. He joined BlueRun Ventures in 2011 and focuses on early-stage investments, actively engaging with the companies he supports. Some of the notable ventures he has backed include Tiny, Jackpocket, TalentShare, and uMake.

Throughout his career, Jeff Tannenbaum has been involved in various organizations, serving as a Board Member at Jackpocket, uMake, and TalentShare. He has also lent his expertise as a mentor at Thiel Fellowship, Launchpad LA, and UpWest Labs. Prior to his role at BlueRun Ventures, Jeff held leadership positions as the Founder & CEO of PhotoCrank.com, Co-Founder & CEO of DreamFront, and Co-Founder of CollegeFriends.com. His hands-on experience in design and coding across the full stack gives him a unique perspective on emerging development frameworks, technologies, and tools.
